After 22+ years in tech, I found myself slowing down. Experience had made me comfortable—maybe too comfortable. I was spending more time doomscrolling and watching YouTube than actually building. Deep down, I knew I needed a change, but I wasn’t sure where to start.

Then, the YouTube algorithm did its magic and introduced me to AI Makerspace. Their vibe was different—genuine, energetic, and focused on real-world AI engineering. I started binge-watching their videos, and suddenly, things began to click. Inspired, I joined their AI Engineering Bootcamp, and everything changed.

Not only did I learn practical AI engineering, but I also adopted a new mantra: Build 🏗️ Ship 🚢 Share 🚀. This simple framework reignited my passion and gave me a clear path forward.

1. Build: The Core of Human Progress

Building is fundamental to who we are. Since the dawn of time, humans have built tools, communities, and civilizations. We admire the great builders before us because building gives us purpose and fulfillment. It’s not just about creating things—it’s about solving problems and leaving a mark.

2. Ship: Turning Ideas Into Impact

Shipping is even more important than building. When you ship, you move from theory to practice. Shipping forces you to think about reliability, efficiency, and usability. It’s about delivering value, not just tinkering in isolation. Shipping is the bridge between your ideas and the real world.

Sharing is the most powerful step. When you share your work, you contribute to the collective knowledge of humanity. Open source is the perfect example—contributors build, ship, and share, often without recognition or reward. Yet, open source drives innovation across the globe. Sharing breaks down barriers, inspires others, and accelerates progress.

Thanks to Dr. Greg Loughnane and Chris "The Wiz 🪄" Alexiuk, I rediscovered the joy of building, shipping, and sharing. The AI Makerspace community reminded me that progress isn’t about perfection—it’s about momentum. Every project shipped and every lesson shared brings us closer to our goals.
