Build 🏗️ Ship 🚢 Share 🚀 Is the Way
After 22+ years in tech, I found myself slowing down. Experience had made me comfortable—maybe too comfortable. I was spending more time doomscrolling and watching YouTube than actually building. Deep down, I knew I needed a change, but I wasn’t sure where to start.
Then, the YouTube algorithm did its magic and introduced me to AI Makerspace. Their vibe was different—genuine, energetic, and focused on real-world AI engineering. I started binge-watching their videos, and suddenly, things began to click. Inspired, I joined their AI Engineering Bootcamp, and everything changed.
Not only did I learn practical AI engineering, but I also adopted a new mantra: Build 🏗️ Ship 🚢 Share 🚀. This simple framework reignited my passion and gave me a clear path forward.
Why “Build 🏗️ Ship 🚢 Share 🚀” Is the Way
1. Build: The Core of Human Progress
Building is fundamental to who we are. Since the dawn of time, humans have built tools, communities, and civilizations. We admire the great builders before us because building gives us purpose and fulfillment. It’s not just about creating things—it’s about solving problems and leaving a mark.
2. Ship: Turning Ideas Into Impact
Shipping is even more important than building. When you ship, you move from theory to practice. Shipping forces you to think about reliability, efficiency, and usability. It’s about delivering value, not just tinkering in isolation. Shipping is the bridge between your ideas and the real world.
3. Share: Fueling the Wheel of Progress
Sharing is the most powerful step. When you share your work, you contribute to the collective knowledge of humanity. Open source is the perfect example—contributors build, ship, and share, often without recognition or reward. Yet, open source drives innovation across the globe. Sharing breaks down barriers, inspires others, and accelerates progress.
"The AI Engineering Bootcamp is truly a bootcamp. It's a grind. But it will transform you! It will get you comfortable understanding what it's like to live at the LLM Edge building 🏗️ , shipping 🚢 , and sharing 🚀 production LLM applications every week."
— AI Makerspace Bootcamp
The AI Makerspace Bootcamp: A Transformative Experience
The AI Engineering Bootcamp is not just another course. It's a 10-week, hands-on journey where you:
- Build 15+ real-world AI applications (RAG, agents, multi-agent systems)
- Ship production-grade LLM apps every week
- Share your work with a global community on Demo Day
- Get expert feedback and peer support
- Earn a certification that signals real-world skills
The curriculum is intense and practical, covering everything from LLM prototyping, RAG, agents, LangChain, LangGraph, evaluation with RAGAS, to LLM Ops and on-prem deployment. You learn by doing, not just by watching.
The Open Source Spirit
Open-source contributors embody the “Build 🏗️ Ship 🚢 Share 🚀” mindset. They work nights, weekends, and holidays—not for fame, but for the joy of creation and contribution. They share their work freely, face criticism, and keep going because they believe in the mission. This spirit is what keeps technology moving forward.
My Transformation
Thanks to Dr. Greg Loughnane and Chris "The Wiz 🪄" Alexiuk, I rediscovered the joy of building, shipping, and sharing. The AI Makerspace community reminded me that progress isn’t about perfection—it’s about momentum. Every project shipped and every lesson shared brings us closer to our goals.
With heartfelt gratitude to my fellow students, peer supporters, and the entire AI Makerspace Discord community for their constant encouragement, friendship, and willingness to help at every step. Your support and camaraderie made this journey not just possible, but truly joyful. Thank you for building 🏗️, shipping 🚢, and sharing 🚀 together!
Final Thoughts
If you’re feeling stuck or uninspired, remember: Build 🏗️ Ship 🚢 Share 🚀. Start small, but start today. Build something that excites you. Ship it, even if it’s not perfect. Share your journey—you never know who you’ll inspire.
Let’s keep the wheel of progress turning.
What will you build, ship, and share next?
